Which cookies does the FundFX website set?
Two Google Analytics cookies for visit statistics, a security cookie on pages with a form, and one more cookie only if you turn analytics off.
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Type | How long |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes one visitor from another so we can count visits and see which pages are useful | Statistics | 2 years |
| _ga_CFKZV83FJM | Google Analytics | Keeps track of the current visit for the same purpose | Statistics | 2 years |
| ffx_analytics | FundFX | Only set if you turn analytics off, so we remember not to load Google Analytics for you | Strictly necessary | 1 year |
| ffx_csrf | FundFX | A random security token that stops other websites sending our forms on your behalf. Only set on pages with a form | Strictly necessary | Until you close your browser |
We do not use advertising cookies, Google signals or remarketing, and analytics data is not used for advertising. Fonts and images are served from our own website, so no other third party sets cookies or receives requests when you browse.
Why is there no cookie banner?
Because UK law no longer requires consent for cookies used only to count visits and improve a website, as long as the site explains them and gives you a simple, free way to object. This page and the button below do that.
The Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 added this exemption to the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations from 5 February 2026. We use Google Analytics only for statistics about how the site is used, Google processes the data on our behalf, and we have switched off its advertising features. The security cookie is strictly necessary for our forms, so it never needed consent.
How do I turn analytics off?
Click the button below. Google Analytics stops collecting on this browser straight away, sets no more cookies and we remove the ones it set where we can.
The same switch is at the foot of every page. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat that as an objection and Google Analytics never collects anything from your visit. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings, although blocking the security cookie may stop our forms working.
