What standard does the FundFX website aim for?
WCAG 2.2 level AA, across every page and form.
You should be able to zoom to 400% without losing content, navigate the whole site with a keyboard, use it with a screen reader and change colours, text size and spacing in your browser.
What have we done to make the site accessible?
We built it with accessibility in from the start rather than adding it at the end.
- Clear page structure with one main heading per page and headings in order.
- A skip to content link and visible focus outlines for keyboard users.
- Menus that open with a keyboard and close with the Escape key.
- Text and background colours checked against the WCAG contrast ratio for normal text.
- Form fields with visible labels, hints and error messages that say what to fix, plus an error summary that links to each field.
- Tables with proper headers and a button to copy them, so figures can be pasted into a spreadsheet.
- Descriptive text for meaningful images and empty text for decorative ones.
- Reduced motion respected for visitors who ask for it in their device settings.
- No information given by colour alone.
